Boulder High School
Boulder, CO
Designed as an addition to a historical building with various non-historical additions, this project serves as the student center and social hub for this inner city high school. The design is a response to the "art-deco" forms of the original high school and the simple massive forms of the later additions. The project fronts on a practice field with the flatiron formations of the Rocky Mountain front range as a backdrop. The project received merit awards from the "Historic Boulder Foundation" and the American Concrete Institute Annual Awards program.
