RNM DESIGN was responsible for both the site planning and architecture for POSCO Steel Corporation's Pohang employee housing program. The project goal was to develop an architectural design that utilizes lightweight steel construction systems (manufactured by POSCO) in the emerging markets throughout Asia. The 750 housing units were planned in 3- to 5-story buildings. Units were provided with views to open space, with southern exposure for primary living space.
