The Canyons is a 5,500-acre site in rural Colorado planned for 2,501 dwelling units. RNM DESIGN created an environmentally sensitive Master Plan along with a comprehensive set of Development/Zoning Standards and Design Guidelines. The Guidelines include special requirements to preserve spectacular scenic views and unique landforms and to enhance wildlife habitat. The Master Plan created a unique character for each of the seven villages through the use of historical and traditional architecture and a landscape design that emphasizes the use of native plant materials.
